Hand Stitching Workshop

HAND-STITCHING

Saturday 23 March - 9.30am - 3pm

This workshop is designed for those with no previous experience in leatherwork, as well as those looking to improve their techniques.

Leathercrafting just like any other skill, requires not only practise but also the correct techniques upon which to properly build skills.

 Understand the tools and techniques of how to use them.

• How to prepare the leather and thread,
• Mark stitches correctly.
• How to use pricking irons.
• Bevell edges
• Finish edges to perfection.
• Burnishing, using new edge finishing products.

 Items you can make are:

Coin purse, Luggage Tag, Card Wallet, you will make at least two items.

The cost of the workshop includes your project, and the use of the tools and equipment, including locally crafted stitching clamps.
